The Polles valley is the longest side valley of the Ötztal.The Polles Alm is located at an altitude of 1.782m and is easily accessible in approx. 2 hours starting at the football ground in Huben. The first path leads through the „Ötztaler Sagenweg“ to the Feuerstein hut and further on an old very beautiful hiking trail up to the Polles hut.Ideal for a family hike or for a mountain bike tour.On Saturday and Sunday, the innkeepers offer an alpine breakfast by prior arrangement. From Monday to Friday (Wednesday closed) the alpine breakfast can be booked in advance for 6 or more people.The Polles Alm is one of the fine culinary spots ("Genussplatzlen"). The hut is reachable with a bit of fitness but without much difficulty. Once at the top you can enjoy tyrolean dishes with a wonderful view. The Sulztalalm is located at an elevation of 1,915 m. From the Gries parking lot, the path initially leads level through meadows to the Vögelasbrücke. Continuing upward along the forest path, it takes about 1.5 hours of walking to reach the hut.After a hearty meal with good home-style cooking, one can continue the hike to the Ambergerhütte.
