Hiking holiday packing list

Let’s go packing now!

Your eagerly awaited hiking holiday is just around the corner, but you still have no idea what you need to take with you? Don't worry, we will give you a helping hand and explain what you need in your hiking backpack and which pieces of equipment should not be missing.

Not every hiking packing list is the same

Depending on how you plan your hiking holiday, the packing list can greatly vary: are you planning one-day hikes or are you going on a multi-day hiking tour with overnight stays in a mountain hut? Will you be hiking along trails on the valley floor or on mountain trails in high alpine terrain?

As these questions already imply, there is simply no ONE universal hiking holiday packing list. Even if our packing list provides a good overview, you always have to decide for yourself in each individual case which things you do not absolutely need on your hiking vacation or which items you may add to this list.
