The Schweinfurter Hütte is located in the middle of the Ötztal mountains with a magnificent panorama view. The hut is very favored in summer for many mountain hiking tours and in the winter for ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking. Hiking path:Parking: parking lot Sennhof Niederthai (next to the Information office)Start the hike at parking lot Sennhof in Niederthai. Among the chapel's highlights: secluded choir area, semicircular choir stall, curved gable facades, steep saddleback roof, onion-shaped timber spire and wonderful moulds, clearly sectionalized interior. Splendid Rococo decorations such as fresco paintings by Gabriel Theunig, a high altar with countless figures (Longinus, Florian, Katherina, Barbara), precious Stations of the Cross paintings.
