Past the storage lake and the WIDIVERSUM, the path leads to the viewpoint "Rotes Wandl". From there, a beautiful view of the front Ötztal and the Inn Valley as well as the Lechtal Alps extending to Arlberg unfolds.The winter hiking trail 431 is tracked and runs away from the ski slopes. The last climb back to the storage lake is a bit steeper. Suitable only for winter hikers with good footwear. Sautens Magic Forest - On the trail of Ötztal's forest animalsJust be enchanted by the Ötztal forest animals and learn all about brown owls, ants and squirrel on a leisurely walk suitable for strollers. WIDI will accompany you for a while, showing you the way to the forest playground with the scenic “Three Churches” viewing platform – a highlight for all the family.Across the Magic ForestThe one-hour forest walk starts at the elementary school in Sautens. From there, you simply follow the signs along a forest path from one station to the next. Little by little you will get to know Ötztal’s varied forest animals in a playful way. On the traces of wild animalsOver there a cheeky badger sitting in the tree says hi, a little marmot squeaks happily on a small wood pile. Young snow adventurers discover all kinds of masterfully recreated wild animals along the children's course in Hochoetz. Skiers who are able to ski down on "red" slopes effortlessly take the turnoff to the child-friendly adventure route at the bottom of the ski run no. 9. Interesting information boards with excitingly prepared content inform about Alpine animals in their natural habitat. After passing the 10 stations, the trail joins ski run no. 9 again. Afterwards, all nature explorers can return comfortably to the Hochoetz top station by taking a ride on the Ochsengarten mountain gondola.All you need to know about the Alpine animals pictured along the children's course can be found in the separate flyer which is available directly at the ski ticket office.
