    The Siegerlandhütte is located on a hill at 2,710m - right at the foot of the highest mountains in the Stubaier Alps.

    The hike starts at the Windachalm / Fiegl's Hut and continues through the wide Windach Valley to the Siegerland Hut.

    Safety information

    Red mountain trails are moderately difficult: some narrow and steep, but assured walking and climbing passages are waiting for hikers. The corresponding signs are in yellow basic color and have a red circle as a difficulty indication.

    The hike starts at the Windachalm / Fiegl's hut.

    From there you cannot miss the wide path up through the Windach Valley. On this path you hike about 3 km to the junction to the Hildesheimer hut.

    From there the path becomes more narrow. You cross a stream and then continue to the material cable car of the Siegerlandhütte.

    After the cable car, a marked route leads up in steep curves to the Siegerlandhütte at 2,710m.

    The descent follows the same route as the ascent and takes about 3 hours.

    Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination.     Directions

    The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps.

    The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the Ötztal valley and further on through the valley.
